July 2011

July was a full month for us.  We spent the fourth with Lillie and the kids.  Emma turned SEVEN!  We spent time at the lake and traveled to Little Rock to see friends.

Before fireworks on the fourth, we had dinner and played Apples to Apples.

Emma turned 7 on July 15th.  She had her birthday party at the pony place (I'm sure it has an official name, but I don't know it).  The kids had lots of fun, but Aunt Carmen was HOT!

What IS this thing???  Haha!  Lillie bought Emma a CD player for her room, but apparently kids don't see CD players very often anymore.

Amy and Bryan went out on the lake with us several times this year.  Tiffany likes to come along sometimes, too.  We put in at a marina not too far from us and then boat a long way to a cove that we like.  We float around all day, have sandwiches and snacks on the boat, watch crazy people jump off of cliffs (I won't report at this time which if any of us have been crazy enough...), and then pack it in around 6:00 or so.

I love this picture.  Amy and her beautiful, stylish hat.  These are 2 of my most favorite people in the world!

Doug and Sheilah came to stay with us the weekend of the 23rd and 24th.  Adam and Doug's parents came to keep Jackson so that the four of us could spend time at the lake.  Doug had heart surgery in June, and this was his last weekend before going back to work.

These are the only kind of pictures I can get of Zach lately.  Teenager boy is too cool for Mom's camera.

I wonder what Jackson is thinking....  Oh to be in the brain of a child...

This is terrible, but I love to put Sadie in her snow boots for some good entertainment.  I'm not sure how it started this night, but we all got a kick out of the high-stepping Sadie does when she wears them.  I think Adam picked her up to console her.  Poor baby girl!

You can't really tell by this picture, but this raft holds 8 people.  Our friends, Don and Christie, bring it, and it's a nice alternative to the water when someone spots a snake.

Adam, Shane, and Rhodes karokeing to Backstreet Boys.  We went to Little Rock for Shane's birthday, and the boys had to get on stage (someone's front porch) and perform.  Looks like Shane (the one on the left) is really getting into it.  These boys love them some good ol' boy bands.  Ha!
